Department of Textiles
The Department of Textiles plans, coordinates and executes the investigation, registration and conservation of the museum's textile collections; as well as offering scientific consultation to researchers and students linked to investigation in the collections. In addition it attends to records for temporary exit of movable patrimony for research purposes and carries out programs of conservation of the textile patrimony of the country.

Besides the permanent work of conservation performed in its laboratories, this department has been making special studies of Bundles 49 and 253 from the Paracas collection, within which studies for recovering contexts are carried out, formal technical analysis, conservation and virtual recuperation of the specimens and specific iconographic studies.
