TRANSITION / COLONY GALLERY Contact with the West occasioned an endless number of impacts on the native patterns of life of this part of the continent. Aspects of the conquest as well as of the consolidation of colonial life are presented as a process, continuing the museographic pattern of the previous stage. A large part of the collections displayed in this gallery belong to the old collection of the former National History Museum.
