18th CENTURY / EMANCIPATION / TUPAC AMARU One of the most significant events in the history of our country was the courageous revolutionary deed of José Gabriel Condorcanqui Tupac Amaru II, who pushed the "colonial rationale" to the breaking point and compelled the dominant structures to radically change direction in their imperial policies. This event gives us a more dynamic way of viewing the 18th century in general and other phases of the emancipation period.
